Do you take insurance?

No, we do not accept any insurance plans at Noeli Total Wellness.  Medical weight loss and hormone replacement services are not usually covered by insurance.  You may be able to use your insurance for any labs ordered by the nurse practitioner, but it is the patient’s responsibility to verify coverage benefits.  Discounted lab panels and wholesale supplements are available to all patients.

Do you prescribe medications to assist with weight loss?

Yes, nurse practitioners are licensed to evaluate, diagnosis, treat and write prescriptions.  Upon evaluation, if prescription weight loss medications are indicated as a part of the treatment plan, the provider will send a prescription to a local compounding pharmacy.  The medications will be delivered directly to you at home by the pharmacy.

Do you offer lab work?

Yes, recent lab work (within the last three months) is required prior to any prescription medication orders.  We can provide you with an order to use through your insurance or offer cash-based labs that will be done in your local area.  Learn more about our lab panels here!

Do I have to take medication to lose weight?

NO! Some people prefer not to use prescription medication for weight loss, even though it can boost the results of a healthy diet and exercise plan. We understand that every medication has its pros and cons, and we care about your safety. That’s why we only prescribe weight loss medications after a careful and personalized evaluation.

What are weight loss medications and how do they work?

Weight loss medications are prescription drugs that can help people who have health problems related to overweight or obesity. They work in different ways, such as reducing appetite, increasing fullness, or blocking fat absorption.

Who can benefit from weight loss medications?

Some weight loss medications that have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for long-term use are: bupropion-naltrexone (Contrave), liraglutide (Saxenda), orlistat (Xenical, Alli), phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia), and semaglutide (Wegovy).
